Firmware
The current release for both units. Updates install over Wi-Fi from the converter's own web app — no tools, and the case stays closed.
Check which unit you have first
The two editions are not interchangeable — loading the wrong one will stop
your speedometer working until you load the right one. Join the
S2000-Cluster Wi-Fi network, open 192.168.4.1, and read the
line under the title at the top of the page. It says either
GPS Edition or CAN Edition.

What's new
- Coolant gauge no longer drops out while driving. The temperature waveform now runs on a hardware timer with its own watchdog, so nothing else the unit is doing can interrupt it.
- GPS reads no longer disturb the coolant output. The satellite receiver link was sped up so fetching a position takes a fraction of the time it used to.
- Smoother speedometer. The output is no longer reprogrammed on every position update, which removes a source of needle jitter.
- Fuel level settings save reliably. Using advanced mode once could permanently override the five-point calibration, so later changes appeared to save but had no effect.
- Web app opens immediately. It no longer waits on a font download that can't succeed while you're connected to the converter.
What's new
- Speed calibration. New on the CAN tab: hold a steady speed, enter what your GPS read and what the cluster read, and the unit corrects itself. Useful on swapped cars and non-stock tyre sizes, where the ECU's own speed figure is off before it ever reaches the converter.
- No more flicker at speed. The ECU reports whole kph, so a speed sitting between two values made the cluster alternate between them. The output is now filtered and refreshed on a fixed interval.
- AP1 scaling corrected. Measured against an AP1 cluster across a 25–100 sweep rather than calculated, so AP1 units read true out of the box.
- Coolant tab fixed for AP2. Switching to AP2 showed only 6 adjustable temperatures instead of all 19, and the °C / °F labels could disagree with the unit actually selected.
- Web app opens immediately and refreshes live readings four times faster, so the speed figure tracks properly instead of stepping.
Installing it
Five minutes, parked. Your settings are kept.
Download
Save the .bin file for your edition to the phone or laptop you'll
use. Do this before you go out to the car — the converter's network has no
internet access.
Power up
Turn the ignition to accessory so the cluster and converter are powered. Leave the engine off.
Connect
Join the S2000-Cluster Wi-Fi network and open
192.168.4.1 in a browser.
Upload
Go to Settings, tap Update Firmware, choose the file you downloaded and start the upload. Don't cut the power while it runs.
Confirm
The unit restarts on its own. Reconnect, and Settings → Device info should show the new version number.
Good to know
Settings survive
Cluster type, coolant temperatures, fuel calibration and speed correction are all kept across an update. Nothing needs re-entering.
Case stays shut
Everything happens over Wi-Fi. There's no cable, no programmer and nothing to open.
If an upload fails
Nothing is lost — the unit keeps running the firmware it already had. Power it off and on, reconnect and try again.
Wrong file loaded
If you load the other edition by mistake the speedometer will stop reading. Load the correct file the same way and it comes straight back.
